The U.S. delegation also included Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, commander of NATO's Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU), and U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Sandra Oudkirk.
1 / 9During the meeting, National Guard personnel and police officers demonstrated to the visitors the capabilities of unmanned systems performing a wide range of combat and humanitarian tasks, including evacuations from areas under attack.
The U.S. delegation observed reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles, a medical evacuation drone, and systems used to detect, identify and strike targets.
The demonstration took place in real-world conditions, without simulators or mock-ups. All the drones carried out the required demonstration flights, allowing those present to see first-hand the precision, speed and effectiveness of modern Ukrainian drones.
Members of the U.S. delegation also had an opportunity to speak with experts from Ukrainian companies that develop and manufacture unmanned systems.
The manufacturers presented their latest solutions and explained how they are used on the front line, how the technology is adapted to the needs of military units, and how the systems are continuously improved based on combat experience.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the latest interceptor drones. The soldiers demonstrated how these systems detect aerial targets, track them and successfully carry out interception missions.
National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko explained that such technologies are playing an increasingly important role in countering enemy drones on the front line and strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure.
Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi said that Ukrainian defenders are not only effectively using the latest technologies but are also developing new approaches to warfare.
"Our unmanned systems are the result of cooperation between the military, the state and manufacturers, who are constantly improving their solutions based on combat experience. We are grateful to our international partners for their support, because it is through joint efforts that we strengthen Ukraine's security," Vyhivskyi said.

In addition to the equipment demonstrations, the foreign delegation had an opportunity to learn about the practical approach taken by Interior Ministry system units to integrating unmanned technologies into combat operations – from reconnaissance and fire adjustment to logistics, the evacuation of wounded personnel and countering enemy drones.
