Australia’s James Hardy has finished on the podium in the men’s floor final, with a score of 13.433 good enough for bronze at Glasgow International Arena today.

The last time Australia won a Commonwealth Games medal in the men’s floor routine was back at Delhi in 2010 when Thomas Pichler won gold.

England’s Luke Whitehouse won gold with a phenomenal routine that scored him 14.566, ahead of Canada’s Rene Cournoyer on 13.966.

Local favourite Reuben Ward, who won gold in the individual all-around final yesterday, fell flat on his face on the final tumble of his routine, which left with a 12.900 (he was ok) and down in sixth.

That’s Hardy’s second bronze medal of these Games after he also won team bronze three days ago.

We will have to wait a couple of hours to hear from him, as he prepares to compete in the rings final later today.
