Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will soon move to a spacious office at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), which has been functioning from Fort St. George—except for a brief period when it operated from the newly constructed Secretariat complex on Anna Salai—will be shifted to the 10th floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai in the Secretariat complex.
Issuing orders for the same, Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar said the relocation had been necessitated by space constraints and administrative considerations.
The Information and Public Relations Department and the CMO’s Social Media Wing, which are currently functioning from the 10th floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai, will be shifted to Kalaivanar Arangam.
The Stationery section of the Tourism Department will be accommodated on the ninth floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai following the relocation of the CMO.
