OLONGAPO CITY — A fisherfolk group and a farmers’ organization on Tuesday questioned President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.‘s policies, which they say contradict his assertions about protecting national sovereignty. The reactions came a day after Marcos, in his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA), declared that the Philippines “does not yield” when defending its sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea (WPS). Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya ng Pilipinas (Pamalakaya) challenges the President’s “strong statements,” saying his administration’s actions tell a different story.
