HAIKOU /China/, July 29. /TASS/. The Hainan Free Trade Port plans to expand its aircraft painting services for foreign partners, Hainan Ribao reported.

According to the newspaper, this work is being carried out by the Aerospace Painting Company (APC), a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines. The company's maintenance base is rapidly developing and continuously expanding its international operations, including services for countries in Northeast Asia.

One of the customers using Hainan’s aircraft repair services is South Korea’s Korean Air. At this stage, the company has commissioned the repainting of four wide-body Boeing B787 airliners. Since beginning its partnership with Korean Air in 2025, APC has successfully completed 14 orders for narrow-body airliners.

Hainan Ribao noted that these projects benefit customers because they can take advantage of the preferential terms offered by the free trade port. Consequently, airlines are interested in receiving these benefits regularly.

Hainan's services are expected to attract a growing number of leading international companies in the Asia-Pacific region. This is due to the region's high technical standards, reliable quality control system, and guarantee that orders will be completed within agreed-upon timeframes.

Hainan is expected to strengthen its position in the international aircraft painting market by leveraging its geographic and institutional advantages. The local aviation industry looks forward to building long-term, stable, and mutually beneficial partnerships, the newspaper emphasized.
