The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 16:00 on Wednesday, July 29, according to Ukrinform.

Russian troops shelled the border settlements of Korenok, Buniakyne, Tovstodubove, Potapivka, Ryzhivka, Neskuchne, Sopych, and Ulanove in the Sumy region with artillery. The enemy also carried out an airstrike on Sumy.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, no attempts by Russian forces to advance were recorded. However, the invaders launched one airstrike using one guided aerial bomb and carried out 36 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, including four from multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Russians attempted four times to break through the defense in the areas of Starytsia, Izbytske, and Khatnie; one engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, four attempts by Russian forces to advance were recorded in the areas of Shyikivka and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi; three engagements are ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops tried five times to move forward in the areas of Novyi Myr, Novoselivka, Lyman, and Ozerne; two engagements are ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian invaders tried 14 times to push back Ukrainian units in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Piskunivka, Mykolaivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka; one engagement is ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russians attempted 18 times to break through the defense in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, and Novoselivka; three engagements are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, 16 attempts by Russian invaders were recorded to push the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Sofiivka, Vilne, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Matiiasheve, Myrne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Molodetske; one engagement is ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russians attacked six times in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Dobropillia, Hirke, and Olenokostyantynivka; two engagements are ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one Russian attack in the area of Charyvne.

In the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Prydniprovske directions, no Russian attempts to advance were recorded.

No significant changes in the situation have also been recorded in other directions at this time.

As Ukrinform reported, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as part of the "Crimean Power Switch Off" operation, struck another ten electrical substations in Russia-occupied territories of Ukraine, including six in temporarily occupied Crimea.
