Jamie Beaton’s Crimson Consulting has launched a hostile raid across the Tasman with a $48m bid to take over international tutoring provider Kip McGrath.

Notices filed to the ASX said Crimson was offering to acquire shares for A$0.73, a claimed 62.2% premium on the most-recent trading price.
