Suraj Ayeleso has been appointed as the new captain of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Kwara United, DAILY POST reports.

The club’s technical adviser, Suleiman Ashifat, announced the appointment at their pre-season camp in Offa.

Ayeleso took over the leadership role following the departure of Musa Abdulafeez to Niger Tornadoes.

He is expected to bring his vast experience as one of the longest-serving goalkeepers to the Harmony Boys.

Ayeleso’s leadership will be vital for the former President Federation Cup champions.

Alao Mohammad will serve as the vice-captain of the team for the 2026-27 season.
