A new initiative to strengthen the climate and disaster resilience of water and wastewater systems across six small towns in the State was launched in Chickballapur district on Friday.
The project titled ‘Building Small Town Water Resilience in Chickballapur District’ will assess water and used water systems, develop technical guidelines, and conduct capacity development activities across Bagepalli, Chintamani, Chickballapur, Gudibande, Gowribidanur and Sidlaghatta. It aims to use the infrastructure, service delivery, and risk analyses to identify measures that will improve water resilience and support the safe and effcient reuse of water in these places.
