Black smoke is rising over West Auckland as emergency services respond to a building fire.

The smoke could be seen from as far as Point Chevalier, where one witness filmed a dark plume rising from the Glendene industrial precinct several kilometres away.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand are currently responding
to the incident and have been approached for comment.
