The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook, publishing an operational update as of 16:00 on Saturday, August 1, according to Ukrinform.
Russian forces continue to shell border areas with artillery. Today, the villages of Koreniok, Buniakyne, Tovstodubove, Potapivka, Sopych, Sukhodil and Bezsalivka in the Sumy region have come under enemy fire.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, one attempt by Russian forces to advance was recorded. Russian troops carried out one airstrike using a guided aerial bomb and launched 38 attacks.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, Russian forces made nine attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Starytsia, Izbytske and Ivashchyne. One combat clash is ongoing.
On the Lyman axis, Ukrainian troops repelled five attempts by Russian forces to advance near Andriivka, Novomykhailivka, Shyikivka, Novoselivka and Dibrova.

On the Sloviansk axis, Russian forces made 14 attempts to push back Ukrainian units near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka. Three combat clashes are ongoing.
On the Kramatorsk axis, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled two Russian attacks near Pryvilne.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, Russian forces made eight attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and Stepanivka. Two combat clashes are ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk axis, 18 attempts by Russian forces to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions were recorded near Kotlyne, Udachne, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novohryshyne and Hulivе, as well as toward Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Nove Shakhove and Bilytske. One combat clash is ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled three Russian attacks near Rybne.
No attempts by Russian forces to advance have been recorded on the Kupiansk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Dnipro River axes.
There are currently no significant changes in the situation on the other axes.
