Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the updated Brezza, with fresh dealership sightings giving the clearest look yet at the compact SUV ahead of its expected July 24 debut. The latest videos reveal what appears to be the top-spec variant, showcasing an updated exterior, a significantly refreshed cabin and, most importantly, hinting at the arrival of a turbo-petrol engine for the first time.
The facelifted Brezza will continue to rival the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq, but this time with a stronger technology package and what could be its most exciting powertrain update yet.
What's new?
The biggest talking point is the expected introduction of Maruti Suzuki's 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. The three-cylinder motor, already seen in the Fronx, produces 100bhp and 148Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox visible in the latest dealership video strongly suggests that this transmission will be paired with the turbocharged engine.
If confirmed, this will be the first time the second-generation Brezza is offered with a turbo-petrol engine, bringing it on par with rivals that have long offered forced-induction petrol options.
The facelift also brings subtle but noticeable styling updates. Up front, the Brezza gets a redesigned grille, a revised bumper and new fog lamp housings. Higher variants are expected to feature a gold-finished grille, while a larger silver skid plate-style insert adds more visual presence to the front bumper.
On the sides, the SUV retains its familiar proportions but gets a fresh four-spoke alloy wheel design. At the rear, changes appear to be limited to revised lighting elements and updated bumper detailing, keeping the overall look recognisably Brezza.
Inside, the cabin receives a more meaningful upgrade. The highlight is a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, replacing the smaller unit offered on the current model.

While the dashboard layout remains largely unchanged, new trim inserts and updated upholstery are expected to make the cabin feel more premium.
What remains the same?
Despite the updates, the Brezza's core design remains familiar. The SUV retains its overall silhouette, proportions and upright stance that have made it one of Maruti Suzuki's most recognisable compact SUVs.
Mechanically, the company is expected to continue offering the proven 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine alongside the factory-fitted CNG option. This means buyers will likely have three powertrain choices, with the new turbo-petrol serving as the performance-focused option.
The Brezza will also continue to be underpinned by the same platform, with the facelift focusing on improving equipment levels, design and driving appeal rather than introducing an all-new generation.
Launch on July 24
Maruti Suzuki has already started accepting bookings for the Brezza facelift for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The updated SUV is expected to carry a slight premium over the outgoing model, which is currently priced between Rs 8.26 lakh and Rs 13.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
If the turbo-petrol engine is indeed part of the final package, the Brezza facelift could emerge as one of the most comprehensive updates to the model since the second-generation SUV was introduced, giving Maruti Suzuki a stronger contender in India's fiercely contested compact SUV segment.
