All Interislander sailings cancelled tomorrow due to expected bad weather

All Interislander sailings have been cancelled tomorrow, due to forecast high winds and large swells.

Four Interislander sailings between Wellington and Picton were cancelled due to a forecast southerly weather system in the Cook Strait.

Interislander said the safety of passengers and crew was its top priority.

"All affected passengers are being moved to alternative sailings and are being contacted directly."

Bluebridge has cancelled all services but its 2am Wellington to Picton sailing and 2.30am Picton to Wellington sailing on Tuesday.

"All affected customers have been contacted by email and/or text and moved to the next available sailing once it is safe to resume passenger services."

It has also cancelled its 2am Wellington to Picton service, and its 2:30am Picton to Wellington service on Wednesday.
