BAGUIO CITY — Government troops engaged about 10 armed men in a firefight on Sunday afternoon (Aug. 2) at Barangay Bonglo in the Abra town of Licuan-Baa. The Alpha Company, led by 1st Lt. Joseph M. Gabinay of 50th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, encountered the armed group while conducting security operations in the area, according to an initial report from the 503rd Infantry Brigade.
