CHOLPON-ATA /Kyrgyzstan/, August 6. /TASS/. Russian investments are making a real contribution to improving Kyrgyzstan’s energy balance, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum.

"In the Kyrgyz Republic, here in the Issyk-Kul region, the construction of Central Asia’s largest solar power plant is nearing completion, and it will open in the very near future. Concurrently, a Russian investor is building a wind power plant at the same location. Russian investments are making a tangible contribution to improving Kyrgyzstan’s energy balance," he said.

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund as one of the key institutions for strengthening bilateral ties contributes to the implementation of joint projects and the growth of investment, Overchuk added.
