Clarkson’s Farm may be the biggest British show to come from Amazon, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that its stars are given free Prime Video subscriptions.

Jeremy Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan, who is one of the main stars of the hit reality series, has revealed that the service hasn’t given her free access to its streaming service – and that she has to use her son’s account to watch its shows.

In a new interview, Hogan, 51, said that while camera crews have been following her around Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm for the past five years, both she and the TV presenter don’t get freebies from Jeff Bezos.

When asked by content creator Lucas Stewart in a video on his YouTube channel whether she was given a free account, Hogan said: “I share my son’s. We don’t get any goodies.”

Stewart commented: “God, that’s ridiculous,” to which Hogan replied: “I know, I know.

“Children nowadays are just like, ‘Yeah, I’ll just get this subscription,’ and that’s their way of spending money whereas we used to buy cigarettes and more alcohol. This is their spending money so I share it with him.”

Amazon charges £8.99 per month or £95 per year for Prime membership, which gives subscribers free delivery and discounts on the online retailer, access to streaming service Prime Video, access to its music platform Amazon Music among other products.

Last year, Amazon discontinued its feature of Prime membership, which allowed subscribers to extend free shipping benefits to individuals outside of their primary household – meaning that you can only share your account with those who live with you.

Hogan shares three children with her ex-husband Baron Steven-Carel Johannes Bentinck, while Clarkson has three children with his second ex-wife Frances Cain: Emily, 32, Finlo, 29, and Katya, 25.

Clarkson and Hogan have been in a relationship since 2017, with the former actor revealing that they met at a Christmas party after various failed attempts by friends to set them up on blind dates with one another.

“This is coming up to 10 years ago. It's going to be double digits if we make it to September,” she said.

As for what Clarkson is really like when the cameras aren’t rolling, Hogan said: “He’s still a bit of a t***, isn’t he? He just likes to talk about his day.

“He likes to talk things through and he talks so wonderfully. His thought process is so interesting. I just sit and listen. I can just bask in his conversation so I can just be really lazy at night.”

Both Hogan and Clarkson star in Clarkson’s Farm, which has followed the ex Top Gear presenter’s efforts to run his farming estate in the Cotswolds.

Earlier this month, he revealed that it’s become difficult to make a profit in farming, admitting that he doesn’t “actually get paid” for what he harvests this summer.

While he wakes up at 4am each day to “work non-stop for 15 to 20 hours at a stretch” during the harvest, it would have been “cheaper to go on an expensive holiday”.

“Thanks to the hot summer and this Government’s strange hatred of farmers, you don’t actually get paid for the wheat and the barley you’ve harvested,” he said.
