MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, will still prevail over parts of Luzon and Visayas on Monday, August 10, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). “Ito (habagat) ay nagdadala ng mga pag-ulan dito sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa, lalong-lalo na dito sa Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Chenel Dominguez said in the agency’s morning weather forecast on Monday.
