The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups released the second single from the highly anticipated film, titled Madhosh, on July 21. Featuring Yash's Raya and Tara Sutaria's Rebecca as the central characters in the music video, the song explores the easygoing, carefree dynamic between the two. This stands in contrast to the intensity and all-consuming nature of the relationship portrayed in the previously released track, Tabaahi, starring Yash and Kiara Advani.

The three-minute-and-fourteen-second video presents a series of moments that highlight the natural connection between Raya and Rebecca. From a quirky proposal that reflects their playful rapport to shared laughter, intimate exchanges and meaningful looks, Madhosh captures the charm of a relationship built on comfort and companionship.

The song showcases a lighter, more affectionate side of Raya, revealing a character who is relaxed, genuine and fun-loving, in stark contrast to the hardened gangster showcased in previous promotional materials. It also offers glimpses into the larger world of Toxic. While Yash and Nayanthara share moments that suggest a bond built on trust, Yash's brief interactions with Kiara Advani's character carry a palpable emotional intensity, much like in Tabaahi.

Ahead of the launch, the makers built interest through a social media exchange on July 20. Tara Sutaria posted a blurred image of herself and Yash on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Is monogamy the law of the heart... or of society?” The official Toxic handle shared a screenshot of Tara's post and wrote, “You'll know soon enough - August 26! But the heart doesn't wait; it will make you sing to its own tune.”

Madhosh has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami. The Hindi version features lyrics by Arslan Nizami and Syed Murad Gilani. In Kannada, the song is titled Manamohaka, with lyrics by Pramod Maravanthe. The Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions are titled Thadumaarudhe, Manasaagadhe and Madhumohini, respectively. Siddharth Basrur has sung all versions of the song.

The film features Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. It has been written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Geetu Mohandas. Toxic has been shot in Kannada and English and will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and other languages.

Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26.
