If Russian athletes win the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, music previously approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the anthem for neutral athletes (AIN) at the 2024 Olympics will be played during the award ceremony, head of the press service of the World Cup organizing committee Torsten Hartmann told TASS.

"The neutral anthem of the 2024 Games in Paris will be played," Hartmann replied when asked what music would be played at the award ceremony at the 2026 World Cup if a Russian athlete wins.

At the 2024 Olympics, the AIN anthem was played once - in honor of the victory of Belarusian trampoline jumper Ivan Litvinovich. The anthem has no lyrics, it was produced by the IOC specifically for the Paris Games.

A Russian Gymnastics Federation official earlier told TASS that the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team will participate in the World Championships as the Russian national team. The use of symbols of the International Gymnastics Federation (World Gymnastics) in the arena is connected with the transitional procedure provided for individual competitions. This does not mean a return to a neutral status, which was abolished by the decision of the Executive Committee of World Gymnastics on May 17.

The World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships will be held from August 12 to 16 in Frankfurt am Main.
