Coinciding with NewJeans’ fourth anniversary, the chart-topping K-pop group signaled their return to the spotlight with a series of new photos and videos declaring “2026 Summer of NewJeans.”

In a series of group and individual photos, videos and vignettes, Minji, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein return to viewers with visuals that include references to their history together. From stuffed animals to origami, each of the members’ videos features winks to Bunnies, the name of NewJeans’ fanbase, with little rabbits acting as a representative animal for the group. There’s a running theme around flyers for an ice cream stand called The Bunnies Scoop, which is promoting a “New Flavor!” that “Tastes Like Summer!” that costs $7.22, a reference to the group’s debut date when they surprised the world with their first song “Attention.” In the solo video for youngest member Hyein, viewers see her draw out the same U-shaped character atop NewJeans’ official light sticks.

The final mini-film unveiled is a 59-second visual where all four happily reunite in person with a quick shot of what looks like a large white rabbit in the grass catching their attention before the video ends.

While no official news has been revealed yet via NewJeans’ label ADOR or its parent company HYBE, all signs point to NewJeans’ comeback as imminent. Any new music will mark the group’s first release in over two years after the outfit last released Supernatural on June 21, 2024.

While the five NewJeans members were involved in a lengthy legal battle to break their contracts with HYBE, Korean courts ruled the members’ contracts were valid. Following the ruling, members Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni all returned to ADOR last year, while ADOR announced they terminated the contract of original fifth member Danielle. There has been news that eldest member Minji was in talks to return to ADOR as well, but nothing has been confirmed at press time despite her appearing in the new material.

HYBE did not immediately return a request for comment at press time.
