New Strictly host hints iconic show feature could be scrapped
Emma Willis has hinted that an iconic feature of Strictly Come Dancing could be scrapped for the upcoming season.
Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe will take over hosting duties from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left following the 2025 series.
Speaking on Magic Radio on Thursday (20 August), the 50-year-old revealed that the beloved “keep dancing” moment could be abandoned.
“That is difficult with three,” she said, referencing the catchphrase first coined by Bruce Forsyth. He and Daly would use it at the end of each show - a ritual that was passed when Winkleman joined Daly as a co-host.
“At the minute we’re having like loads of production days, and we’re playing with who’s with who and how does it work. But I imagine we’ll need to have something.”
