One dead in crash south of Whangārei

One person has died following a crash in Northland, south of Whangārei.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Maungakaramea Road and Jobe Road on Friday at 5.20pm.

The person was found dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash.

The road has since reopened, but enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
