Asha Bhosle passes away: All about the National Award-winning singerâs last rites
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, Asha Bhosle was rushed to the hospital due to a chest infection and severe exhaustion. On Sunday, April 12, 2026, while addressing the media outside the hospital, the singerâs son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed the news of her demise.
He also shared that Asha Bhosleâs last rites will be performed at 4 pm in Mumbai, Shivaji Park. The procession will go from her residence to Shivaji Park.
Furthermore, full state honours will be accorded to the National Award-winning singer. Her mortal remains have been placed in a glass casket, draped in the tricolour and adorned with white lilies. She was also honoured with a ceremonial salute as part of the state honour.
