Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said the State government’s flagship programme, Sanjeevani, an integrated digital system that aims at improving delivery of healthcare services, would be implemented across the State from August.

Speaking at the ‘Sanjeevani’ programme held at Aspari in Alur Assembly constituency, Mr. Naidu explained the unique features of the project that would integrate technology to safeguard public health.

Under the programme, a digital health profile would be created for every individual and ABHA Health IDs issued to all family members, the Chief Minister said. Comprehensive health data, ranging from Primary Health Centres to the State level, would be integrated into a single platform, he said.

Services related to non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, paediatric health screenings, ‘108’ emergency services, ‘104’ mobile medical units, e-Aushadhi, and laboratory services would all be integrated into the system, he said, and added that AI-based medical assistance, telemedicine, remote care, predictive analytics, and digital nerve centres would be incorporated to meet the future needs.

“Through the Sanjeevani Citizen Wellness App, people can book doctor appointments and access their health records at any time,” the Chief Minister said.

Advising people to adopt healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle, Mr. Naidu said, “The government is working towards the goal of healthy families, healthy villages, and a healthy Andhra Pradesh. Equal priority is being accorded to public health and welfare,” he added.

“Financial security is being provided to the poor through disbursal of pensions on the first of every month and farmers are receiving ₹20,000 as assistance though the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme,” the Chief Minister said. He also outlined various initiatives being implemented such as support for students through Thalliki Vandanam, women’s empowerment through Stree Shakti, LPG cylinders via Deepam 2.0, and provision of solar power to every household.

Mr. Naidu criticized the previous YSRCP government for creating chaos in land records and causing disputes, stating that all land records were now being secured using blockchain technology. Mr Naidu announced that pattadar passbooks were being distributed on the 9th of every month to safeguard people’s assets, and the land re-survey exercise would be completed by March next. Measures were being taken to commence production at the Kadapa Steel Plant by 2028, he added.

Companies such as Hero Motors, LG, and Dalmia were coming to the State, and Rayalaseema would be developed into a horticultural and industrial hub with public and private investments of ₹1 lakh crore, Mr. Naidu said, and expressed happiness over the Centre clearing the Kurnool-Bellary railway line.
