LEGAZPI CITY — Two alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA), who are believed to be a married couple, were killed in an encounter with government troops in the Masbate town of Palanas on Wednesday. Col. Angelo Lutera, commander of the Army’s 903rd Infantry Brigade, identified the fatalities as Crisanto Pikit-Pikit, alias “Dawe,” and Shiela Estoya Pikit-Pikit, whom he identified as members of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya South under the Sub-Regional Committee 4 of the Bicol Regional Party Committee.
