H&M has teamed up with New York-based luxury label Wardrobe.NYC for its latest designer collaboration, bringing the brand’s signature minimalist aesthetic to a wider audience. Founded by editor and stylist Christine Centenera and designer Josh Goot, Wardrobe.NYC is known for its streamlined approach to modern dressing.

Launching August 6, the collection distills Wardrobe.NYC’s decade-long vision of a tightly edited capsule wardrobe into a selection of timeless, wearable pieces designed to work effortlessly together. The idea is simple: versatile staples that can be mixed and matched to create polished outfits with minimal effort.

Drawing from the Wardrobe.NYC archive, the collection focuses on elevated urban essentials, featuring sharp tailoring and a muted, versatile colour palette. Key pieces include wool coats, structured blazers and tailored skirts, alongside more casual staples such as washed denim and hoodies for a relaxed edge.

The collaboration will not be trend-focused; instead, the line will be made up of timeless pieces that Centenera says she hopes will become “staples.” Echoing her, Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of design women’s wear at H&M, told trade publication Drapers that the collection will consist of “pieces that will be in your wardrobe for a long time.”

With the launch just over a week away, here’s everything you need to know about shopping the new collection.
