Five people have been injured, two seriously, after a two-vehicle crash near Rotorua this afternoon.

Police said the crash happened on Oturoa Rd about 3.55pm.

Of the two people seriously injured, one was flown to hospital by helicopter. Three others sustained moderate injuries.
