Hezbollah has carried out drone and rocket attacks against Israeli troops in southern Lebanon and across the border, saying it would not rely on what it described as “failed diplomacy”, Al Jazeera reported.
The group said Israeli military activity during the ceasefire, including air strikes, demolitions and artillery shelling, would be met with resistance.
Israeli fire has continued since the first day of the truce, which has now been extended for another three weeks, with Hezbollah responding after several days.
Residents in southern Lebanon describe the situation as a “ceasefire in name only”, amid ongoing exchanges of fire.
