Philippines extends Mister Supranational placement streak to 10 straight editions

The Philippines has sustained its placement streak at the Mister Supranational pageant with Felipe Marasigan advancing to the Top 20 of the recently-concluded 10th edition of the international male competition held in Poland.

Filipino delegates consistently earned placements since the global male tilt’s inception in 2016. The most recent competition took place in Nowy Sacz on Aug. 1 (2 in Manila).

The Philippines also has an active placement streak at the counterpart female competition Miss Supranational, with Katrina Llegado winning the crown on July 31 (Aug. 1 in Manila) to extend it to 14 successive editions.

Llegado, fresh from her victory, returned to the venue of her coronation just a day after her pageant’s coclusion, to fulfill her first official duty as Miss Supranational and join the Mister Supranational judging panel.

The Mister Supranational title went to Spain’s Pedro Cordero, who bested 39 other contenders from different countries and territories around the world to succeed last year’s winner, Swann Lavigne from France

Marcel Rox from South Africa settled for the first runner-up spot, while second runner-up honors went to Daniel Jiawei Li from China, the lone Asian in the Top 5.

Filling up the podium were third runner-up Ramon Alcantara from the Dominican Republic and fourth runner-up Gabriel Castañeda from Mexico.

Marasigan had a great run in the Mister Supranational contest, bagging accolades ahead of the final competition. He was in the Top 10 of the “Supra Chat” challenge, in the Top 5 of the “Supra Model” competition, and the Top 4 of the “Influencer Challenge” for Facebook. /edv
