Gisborne police are investigating an unexplained death in the suburb of Kaiti.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Love said emergency services were called to the Crawford Rd address just before 1.50am today.
A person was found dead inside the property.
“The public can expect to see an increased Police presence in
the area over the coming days as investigations continue,” Love said in a statement.
He urged anyone with information that could assist police to contact 105, either over the phone or online at 105.police.govt.nz.
