MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Sheremetyevo International Airport will retain its core business, and its shares cannot be divested to foreign entities, according to a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
With this document, the head of state removed JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport from the country's list of strategic joint-stock companies and ordered the exercise of the Russian Federation's right to participate in the management of the enterprise.
"The Government of the Russian Federation <…> when divesting shares of the Joint-Stock Company Sheremetyevo International Airport, shall stipulate conditions regarding the preservation of its core business activities, the modernization of production facilities, and a ban on the transfer of shares of this joint-stock company to foreign individuals, as well as legal entities directly or indirectly controlled by foreign persons," the decree states. The document enters into force on the day of its signing.
